Our Passionfruit black tea artfully combines the pleasantly sweet tropical flavour of a fresh passionfruit with the bright, lively taste of Ceylon black tea. Rich and heavy fruit-floral aroma. Sweet and very fruity flavour, lifted by the natural citrusy quality of Ceylon tea. Balanced astringency and slightly dry finish. All qualities that make this an excellent iced tea, too. So, if you're passionate about great flavoured teas, look no further.

blended with
black tea, apple pieces, natural passionfruit flavour and marigold flowers
There are two types of this tangy fruit available: a bright yellow variety and purple. Native to Brazil, passionfruits are grown in many places, including South America, Hawaii, Indonesia and New Zealand. It's one of the most important fruits in Colombia, especially for juices and desserts. The name 'passionfruit' came from the diaries of early Spanish missionaries, who thought the flower and fruit bore significant religious connections. Passionfruit can seem a little awkward to eat (the thick skin somewhat resembles an avocado). If you let the skin wrinkle for a few days, though, the sugar levels and flavour will increase, and it will also be easier to cut the fruit in half and scoop out the goodness inside.
