Returns Policy Statement
The returns policy in the following paragraphs refers to all goods delivered to you from Adagio Teas (www.adagiotea.co.uk). You will only be able to exercise this right if you are able to ensure that the goods are returned to us in accordance with the paragraphs below. Where a customer qualifies for a refund, Adagio Teas will process that refund within 10 working days of receiving a product that a customer has sent back to us. This allows us time for inspection of the product. Please take into account return postage times.
Product Returns
We want you to be happy with all the items you ordered, and will gladly accept back any item that was purchased within 30 days of receipt that you do not wish to keep.
Non-faulty items must be returned in their original packaging, in an undamaged and unused condition.
Please be aware that post and packaging is not refundable, except where items have been returned because they are faulty or do not otherwise conform to your order. In these rare cases, we refund only standard postage charges and ask for proof of postage.
We cannot be held responsible for goods that are returned to us that are lost or damaged in transit. If you are concerned, then we recommend that you send the goods by registered post and retain proof of posting.
If you're returning opened tea packages or teaware items that can't be resold, a 35% disposal fee will apply to cover the costs involved. Please see the "Disposal Fee" FAQ for more details.
If an order is returned to us due to a failed delivery because of a wrong or incomplete address provided, a restocking fee will be deducted to cover the shipping costs involved. Please see the "Restocking Fee" FAQ for more details.
Initiate Return
Please initiate the returns procedure by emailing our customer service on
contact@adagio.com with your order number and the items you wish to return. We will do our best to resolve the issue for you and provide the instructions for the return.
Damaged Item Received
Restocking Fee
A restocking fee of £2.95 (UK) or £4.50 / €4.95 (Europe) applies to orders returned to us because an incorrect or an incomplete address was provided, or in the rare instances when all delivery attempts are unsuccessful.
The fee is assessed to cover the shipping and return charges associated with the incorrect / incomplete address. This applies to all orders, including those that qualify for free delivery.
Please note that the refund of the order minus the restocking fee will be processed only once the returned order is received on our end.
Disposal Fee
A disposal fee of 35% applies to tea and teaware items that have been opened, tried, and returned due to customer's dislike of the product. Since the product is no longer usable for resale, the fee covers a percentage of the company's loss.
Due to health regulations, we must dispose any food returned to us. Therefore, we strongly advise trying sample sizes of our teas before buying large quantities.
Incorrect Item Received
If an item was shipped to you incorrectly due to company error, we will swiftly send you a replacement. Please
email us and indicate that you received an incorrect item.
Cancellation Right
Under the Distance Selling Regulations, customers in the European Union have the right to cancel the order within fourteen days of receipt of the goods. They have another 14 days to return the goods.
Return Due To Unpaid Fees
Since the UK has left the European customs union, there may be additional import taxes and other charges levied by local authorities and delivery companies. Please check these carefully before ordering, as they are at the responsibility of the buyer / parcel recipient.
If your order is returned to us due to any such unpaid fees, a restocking fee mentioned above will apply before an order can be re-sent.
