ingredients & lore

blended with yerba mate tea, green rooibos tea, cinnamon, ginger, cardamom, orange, lemon grass, aniseed, mango pieces, natural almond flavour, natural spicy cinnamon flavour, ginger, pineapple pieces and papaya flavour

As aristocrats for centuries, the samurai developed their own culture that influenced Japan as a whole. The culture associated with the samurai such as the tea ceremony, monochrome ink painting, rock gardens and poetry was adopted by warrior patrons throughout the 12th to 16th centuries. These practices were adapted from the Chinese arts. Zen monks introduced them to Japan and they were allowed to flourish due to the interest of powerful warrior elites. The Zen monk Zeami, introduced the tea ceremony to General Ashikaga Takauji. Previously, tea had been used primarily by Buddhist monks to stay awake during meditation.
