Gunpowder is the favourite green tea of Morocco, where it is commonly prepared with lots of fresh mint and plenty of sugar (Moroccan Mint tea). This delightful beverage is enjoyed several times a day. Local custom dictates that the tea be poured in such a way as to create a sizable foam atop one's glass (you need a distance of about 30 centimetres to do this). Small, ornately gilded glasses are customary and traditionally, so much sugar is used, you can see it settle in the cup.
